I AM CURRENTLY WORKING AS A ROUGHNECK ON A OIL DRILLING RIG IN THE NORTH DAKOTA BAKKEN FORMATION SO THAT I CAN SAVE MONEY TO BUY LAND, ON WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO DISTILL ETHANOL FOR MY FUEL NEEDS. I HAVE VIEWED SEVERAL WEB SITES THAT CLAIM AMAZING RESULTS BY USING PLATINUM OR PALLADIUM AS A CATALYST WITHIN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER)OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE.THE FUEL THEY ARE USING IS ETHANOL OF 100 TO 190 PROOF.(5 TO 50 PERCENT WATER)I AM A PRAGMATIST.I want TO SEE FOR MYSELF IF THERE IS ANY TRUTH TO their "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE" CLAIMS! SO. MY QUESTION IS;IS IT FEASIBLE TO DO MY OWN PALLADIUM ELECTROPLATING "IN MY BACK YARD"? WHO CAN I CONTACT FOR "NO B-S" TECHNICAL ADVICE CONCERNING PALLADIUM ELECTROPLATING OF ALUMINUM PISTONS AND OR COMBUSTION CHAMBERS? CAN YOU REFER ME TO ANY FREE OR PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE SOURCES OF INFO THAT RELATE SPECIFICALLY TO ELECTROPLATING PALLADIUM ONTO ALUMINUM? CAN YOU SHED ANY LIGHT ON THE CATALYTIC/CHEMICAL REACTIONS THAT OCCUR WHEN AN AQUEOUS FUEL/AIR MIXTURE IS RATHER AGGRESSIVLY SUBJECTED TO HIGH HEAT, HIGH PRESSURE AND SPARK IGNITION?
