-----Waste classification/volume reduction of stripped paint waste solids
August 22, 2008
My main customer is in the business of architectural restoration - he strips paint off of doors, carved wooden mantles, etc. (Some of the work that passes through his shop looks like it belongs in a museum.) He uses a methylene chloride based stripper, and generates a slurry of paint chips and spent solvent.
My questions are:
1) Off hand, does anyone know the EPA waste code for this material?
2) Does anyone have any clever ideas about reducing the volume generated?
Thanks in advance.
