-----Restore a Peoria Oak 1900s stove body
I have a circa 1900 cast iron and sheet metal body stove. Brand name on ash cover is Peoria Oak.
The circular sheet metal "body" center has been replaced twice and needs to be replaced again.
Can a local sheet metal shop form one for me, based on seeing the current old one?
The last owner made his own. I cannot.
Could I simply have metal rods/bars welded all around the stove base to support the top, and have - essentially- an outdoor fire place? I could use a firescreen material to wrap around the rods to act as a spark arrester?
thanks,

Hi, Charmaine. Pictures would go a long way, as I really can't envision what you are referring to.
