Do I need a Bi-metallic transition plate or not? [New Zealand]

I cannot get any meaningful answers for the following questions:
Would I need to provide for a copper/aluminium bi-metallic transition plate if I bolt an aluminium clamp to a copper palm tinned to BS1872? What are the effects of galvanic corrosion on the aluminium if no transition plate is provided? Is it any cause for concern?
