How to prevent mirror polished steel from scratch? [Thailand]

What should I coat my mirror-polished stainless (No.8) with? It scratches easily.
I read some about Teflon coating. Is it good? What is the cost?
What is other choices?

Nickel+chrome might be an option. Alternatively Electroless Nickel though more expensive will cover the surface uniformly if geometry is complex.
