Aluminum Basecoat/Organic or Inorganic [India]

I need to understand the following Plating Standard: This coating system may be specified as a water dilutable aluminum-filled ceramic slurry basecoat only (Code C) and may be followed by a modified organic topcoat (Code A, D or E) or an inorganic chromate phosphate topcoat (Code B) depending on service temperatures and corrosion protection.
This is GM spec GM 6164 M 400C as applicable for Fasteners.
