Need Steel Staircase and Elevator Door Polished [New York]

Our Condo is being built right now. They are making the steel staircase. We don't want them to paint it. We want to see the raw steel. We need it sanded and a clear coat. They said their workers won't do a good enough job.

We need to bring someone in to do it. They showed us the plans today. When would you do the polishing? After it's installed?

The elevator doors they ordered are white. We would like it stripped, polished with a clear coat. I am not sure when the elevator will be arriving. Not soon.
