Discolouration of Olive Passivation

Dears,

I am doing the zinc plating with all pasivations. Recently I am facing the disclouration of olive passivation only. This problem starts after a day or two. Pls. suggest the possible reasons and solution on the problem.

Hello.

First clear that what u meant by discolouration.

Well in my view if u r maintaining the chloride content too high it might lead to deposition of the olive green pass. to little bit slower.
Also for good results heat the pass. at about 28--32 degrees c.
After Passivation bake it for 15--20 mins. at about 35--40 degrees c.
