1928 RCA Victor Radio - brass needs pro help !

+++++++

My grandfather tried for years while I was a lad to get me to restore his 1928 RCA Victor Upright Cabinet Radio. I never found the time or rather the motivation to do so. After his death, I took the time............and regreting that he was not around to see the project through. After cleaning all the layers of shellac from the front, the metal fixtures turned green and very little brass coating remained. How do I get these metal fixtures coated with the brass coating they had when manufactured?

Hmmm 1928? I'll bet they're solid brass, not plated. Check with a magnet. If magnetic, then they're steel, and you'll have to send them to a plating shop. Non-magnetic, they're solid brass. Brass polish and lots of elbow grease.

Jeffrey,
You were right. It is non-magnetic. So looks like I need brass polish and lots of "elbow grease". Thanks for the advise.
