I etch brass sheets. Should I use aluminum instead?

+++++++

I want to etch a design on metal (brass or aluminium. In some parts the etching has to be complete, the design is made of dots which are etched through and through the metal sheet. Could you please advise if Aluminimum is a better sheet or Brass sheet. At the moment I am using brass sheet and ferric chloride but am not happy with the results.

Can you send us a photo of the product you are making Sandeep? Yes, you could make it out of etched aluminum instead of brass, but you could make it of cardboard too :-)   It's hard to know whether aluminum would be satisfactory when we don't know what you are trying to do or in what way your etched brass produces unhappy results. Thanks.
