Science project for grandson [Illinois]

I make my own printed circuits by etching copper coating phenolic boards with Ammoniuim Sulfate. Would it be possible to use the copper loaded solution to make a simple Home copper plating system for small parts? What electrodes, voltage, and current would be required. What problems should I expect. This would be a great school science project for my grandson.
