Regeneration cycle: switching from HCl to
H2SO4 [Singapore]
August 27, 2006
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to consult on this area which I have no knowledge on
it.
Currently my supplier is switching the from using HCL to H2SO4 for
the Regeneration cycle.
The supplier also claim to check on all the equipment parts and do
checks on it. But they are unable to provide datas on the sulfate
level and other parameters until they have implement the
change.
However my company did not measure the sulfate level on the in-coming
material. Hence it is also hard to compare the after change sulfate
level.
I am not sure whether this change will affect the in-coming material
sulfate which in return might affect our company's end product
performance.
Hence would you mind to give some feedback on whether is there any
difference between HCL or H2SO4 for the Regeneration cycle? Do you
have any experience on this type of change before.
Please help by providing your expertise in the case.
Thanks,
Patrick Yew

Not enough information to even guess at an answer.
What is being regenerated? Maybe, ion exchange resin?
What is the product and what specifications must it meet?
