Abbreviation for Stainless Steel

Q. What is the difference between SUS316L and TP316L, what is the full words for 'TP' and 'SUS'.

A. From what I can tell, SUS is a Japanese stainless steel designation and TP is an ASTM designation. Most likely, both refer to the same alloy, 316L.

A. Try googling. TP316L gave 12,800 hits and SUS316L gave 149,000 hits. Plenty of information there!
