What is the best coating for a galvanized steel ornamental fence? Epoxy and acrylic or polyester powder coated?

++++++

This fence would be going into a concrete deck and the ground. It would also cover a pool area. We live about 14 miles from the ocean. Have considered Ornamental Aluminum, but like the strength and durability of steel. Thanks

Galvanized fencing is not meant to be painted, Chris. Neither paint will adhere properly without "etching primer", and even then it can be trouble. If you are intent on it though, please get a booklet about "duplex systems" (galvanizing plus paint) from the galvanizing association at www.galvanizeit.org. Good luck.
