Color fastness of polymer concrete and reinforced moulding compound [Nevada]

May 15, 2006

One of my tasks is to evaluate product submittals for state use. The current Detectable Warning Pavers I'm evaluating are polymer concrete or reinforced moulding compound. I need a test for these products for color fastness. ASTM D620, Method of test for color fastness of plastics to light, was withdrawn in 1964 and there was no replacement. ISO/DIS 4582 is as close as I've come to a color fastness test for my submittals: Plastics - determination of changes in color and variations in properties after exposure to daylight under glass, natural weathering or laboratory light sources.
