-----Applying metal coatings to composite materials?
I am a French student in material engineering and must carry out a talk on the metal coatings on composite materials. I thus seek what are the methods of implementation, the advantages of such a coating and the problems that that can generate on the level of the interface..
I thank you in advance for the assistance that you will bring to me in my search.

Hi, Ricard. A number of methods of metallizing non-conductive materials are listed in our "Plating Organic Materials FAQ". Metallizing doesn't generally "generate problems", but the issue can be adhesion of the metallization to the substrate. The most robust of the methods, and offering the greatest adhesion, is electroless plating.
Good luck.
