Letter 4041

Looking for that new process.

-

I have heard of a new coating for Magnesium (and Aluminium and Titanium) which transforms the surface to an inert ceramic layer and exhibits excellent corrosion and wear resistance. It also appears to use no environmentally unfriendly chemicals at all. Does anyone know where I can find this process or what it is called?

I'm researching on Mg finishes as well, and I had a response about electro-ceramic coating, could be what you are looking for. Try to contact Poeton Industries for details, they're in UK as well.

.

The coating you looking for could be performed with:

JRA Aerospace and Technology CED House, Taylor close, Marlow, Bucks SL7 1PR, UK

Its name is PEO (= plasma electrolytic oxydation).

Good luck.
