I want to know the reason for the solderability problem.
What causes for that.
Recently we faced a problem " While assembling the Sip
Socket on the PCB we observed pin holes, dry solderability
etc"
Kindly Let me know the reason

Processes such as soldering are quite complex, and it is
always impossible to offer a single cause for a problem when
little data is offered. Let's start with the socket: is it
tin plated, silver plated, gold plated, electroless nickel
plated, or something else? Is it made of brass, berylium
copper, or phosphorous bronze? Is the solder lead-free? "Dry
solder" may mean different things to different readers. To
me it meant the mottled crystalline look which is the result
of something moving during the critical seconds while the
solder is cooling. We would like to try to help, but a lot
of data must be supplied. Thanks.
