Is Black Oxide Coating on Fastners RoHs Compliant?

Need to have certification that Black Oxide Coating on fasteners is RoHS compliant.

Although it usually should be, I don't believe that a generic statement that it usually is, or even that it always is, will suffice. If there is no processing spec, there is just no saying that some given shop won't decide to process the part through a chrome-bearing final rinse because they always process their phosphated and black oxided work through one.

I think you need the shop which is applying the coating to provide the certification.
