CrVI residue on hard chrome plated surface

I am doing a small project on hard chrome plating and want to know is there any possibility of presence of hexavalent chromium after the hard chrome plating is done on any surface. Please also give the information related to other form of chrome present on hard chrome plated the surface.

Hello Shrirang. This question has been asked and answered numerous times before if you want to spend some time searching the site about it. If you are doing hard chrome plating, the deposit you are laying down is metallic chrome, so that is obviously an "other form". You are doing the plating from a bath of hexavalent chromium, so if you don't rinse the parts properly then there certainly is the possibility of the presence of hexavalent chromium on them.
