Right method of PT of HR sheet




We are trucks and bus manufatureres.we are using HR sheet for cross member in the PT process supplier do not want to use HCl due to excessive fume problem. So what is the substitute of HCL. He also does not want use shot blasting..... is shot blasting is better than the acid pickling........

H2SO4 can be used instead, but will leave the sheet a little darker instead of bright like the HCL. Shot blasting is also possible, you have to choose with what you want to live with.

Definitely you can use Shot Blasted material or and inhibitor for HCl to supress the fumes produced by using HCL. In both the cases the product will be free from the top layer of blackishness and be ready to accept the Phosphating.

sulfuric Acid is dangerous to handle and also give very strong fumes so in pure form it is not recommended instead go for a good quality derusting chemicals these may be available with a good supplier of P/T Chemicals.
