Laser Etching Soft-Touch Paint [Illinois]

I am looking to laser etching on a metal part that has been painted using Akzo Nobel's soft-touch paint. The laser can't get too hot, or it will gum up and melt the soft feel clear coat that is applied. Are there any suggestions on how to achieve laser etching all the way to the metal substrate?
