Hello,
I am trying to translate into Spanish the term "ED paint" but I am not familiar with the finishing industry. Could anyone explain me what the "ED paint" is and what is it used for? Many thanks.

It probably means "electro-deposited", which is also expressed as electrocoated, electrophoretic, electropainting. It is paint which is deposited by applying electricity to the component being painted. The most familiar use would be in priming automobile bodies and frames. From time to time you see television commercials where automobile bodies are shown on a big conveyor being dipped into such tanks. The system provides full coverage in recesses.
