Rhodium plate removal from 18kWG

What is the procedure and chemicals used to remove rhodium plating from 18k Italian white gold? Will the original 18kWG be shiny and pretty, or will it be ruined? Is there nickel in the 18k white gold that really should NOT be in constant contact with my finger?

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
