Hardness of EN-8 grade material




Q. How to check the grade material hardness?
Is it in c scale or b scale? (hrc / hrb)?
What is the normal hardness of en8d material?
If material is case hardened which scale is used, e.g.: en8, en8d, en19,en9, a8620)?
If material is not hardened, e.g.: m.s, l.c material, which scale is used?

Can 51 HRC EN8 Material be straightened?

Q. An EN8 material Sq. Bar has been bent right from its middle portion due to hardening of about 51 HRC on straight teeth of about 3 mm deep on its surface. Is there any process or suggestion to remove this bend while preventing from any crack? Please suggest.
