Titanium coating of stainless steel

My understanding that stainless steel could be coated using Titanim nitride to produce sheets for cladding such as elevator cabin cladding.

My questions are:

Is my understanding correct?

What is the %age difference in price between a plain stainless steel and a coated sheet?
