Titanium alloy plating on steel wire

I realize that nature is against us as far as the feasibility of plating with titanium, however I have found no information on plating with materials such as nispan, nitinol, kovar, etc.
I am looking to plate .015" low carbon steel wire for corrosion resistance.

But resistance to corrosion from what and under what conditions, Mike? Certainly steel wire can be plated with electroless nickel or gold and about 20 other plateable metals. But titanium is not plateable; refractory metals are generally not plateable; and trying to plate alloys brings up very difficult, sometimes irresolvable, problems.
