Refinishing an old Eagle brass? door knocker

I have a handsome 45-yr old eagle-shaped door knocker that has corroded/tarnished with age. I think it was shiny brass plated, but was cleaned with 00 steel wool ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] ; it is now a dull brown.
Can this easily be refinished/coated with a satin nickel finish?
Where are some companies that do this, within about 25 miles of Trenton NJ?
