Need Chroming of plastic parts on Mustang

2002

We are refurbishing a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe and have need for a rechroming service. We've called a company in Little Rock that advertises rechrome, but they don't touch plastic or potmetal. Almost all the chrome on an old Mustang is plastic or potmetal. What are my alternatives? I also need pricing information, if possible.

I am from Aurora, Colorado and I have a 1987 Ford Mustang conv. I've been trying to fix it up and have many misc. chrome pieces. I heard about chroming plastic but I can't find a company that does this. If anyone knows any info or maybe a company located in colorado that deals with this kind of stuff, please let me know.

Hi,

Please see the banner at the bottom of the page for shops who offer chrome plating of plastic parts for cars. You may also wish to see our FAQ "Introduction to Chrome Plating", and/or letter 28476 which covers some other issues in Mustang restorations. Good luck.
