Vibratory polishing of battery plates

DEAR SIR,

The electrodes made of LEAD needs cleaning before they are fluxed and tinned, as they are coated with an oxide layer or leadoxide paste.

Presently the lug portion is being cleaned manually by filing, as the quantities are huge we are looking for mechanised process.

We have tried brush cleaning with different brushes but doesn't solve.

Could you suggest a suitable method to clean and preferable get rough surface to enable easy fluxing and tining.

Regards

I've got more questions than answers. Can the part be protected before assy? Is the part a uniform single part or an assy? Can the part be fixtured and turned? Can't give you a good answer until I get more info.
