-----Calculating amount of metal plated on a part
I am looking for a simple way to calculate the amount of copper (either in grams or oz per square feet, per amp minute, or etc.) plated onto a small part (acid copper). I know the square feet of the part, the ASF and the time need to plate for a thickness of 200 micro inches.

Theoretically, a copper sulphate ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] bath will plate 1.099 grams somewhere on the part in 1 amp hour.

Without sounding like a spokesman for them, I have to say that there is a table in the Metal Finishing Guidebook that has all of the data needed to calculate amps, times and thicknesses. I know I refer to it regularly. It's hard to keep formulas and calculations memorized when you have 50 other projects and brush fires constantly clogging up your thought processes.
