long barrels [India]
+++++
I am in hardchrome plating business and want to set up a new plant
for doing hardchrome plating inside the barrel of 16 ft length and 3
in bore, having rifling inside the bore. Please suggest me the layout
of the plant along with jig fixtures and hardchrome plating inside

We are happy to post your inquiry, SB, but it's a tall order.
Realistically, I think you will need to hire a chrome plating
consultant to help you with this, but perhaps a reader can recommend
a book or a published article that addresses your issues. Good luck.

Mr Ted Mooney
This kind of plating is done inside gun barrels in India since the
last 20 years.
Senior personnal at equipment manufacturers in India have designed
these machines. Thousands of barrels have been plated and continue to
be plated .
The question is whether Mr Mittal of Agra needs professional help
from professionals who charge sums of money to disseminate this
knowledge and experience ?
Regards

Hello, Mr. Nurie. I am sorry if it looked like I was suggesting
that this subject is so complicated that development work by a
particular world-class expert is required :-)
Mr. Mittal didn't ask a specific question, but rather for help on
everything ranging from the design of small internal anodes to the
whole plant layout. As you know, such a world of information can't
realistically be printed here as a response to his question, so I
suggested that he needed either personalized help or at least a book.
When he then asked for a good chrome plating consultant, I answered
his question, certainly not meaning to imply that help is not
available closer to home.

Hello Ted,
I am in agreement with you. Thanks. Mr Mittal should get
Professional help closer to home and there are many qualified people
around.
