Chroming Martensitc and Austenitic Steels

Hi!

I'm looking for information about chroming austenitic steels. Specifically are there any differences in the steps from chroming a Martensitic steel?

I'm not sure if I understood your question or if I will have consensus or be corrected but I think the main differences in preplate and plate cycles arise from the chemical condition of the steel (i.e., contents of carbon and alloying elements basically chrome and nickel in excess of 2%) and not much from physical conditions like microstructure or hardness.
