Why is 18/8 non-magnetic?

If 304 stainless steel is 18% chrome, 8% nickel and 74% iron (all three of which are magnetic) why is 18/8 non-magnetic?

Actually, chrome is non-magnetic, Josh. letter 11270 explains it pretty well.
