I need to check the hardness of hardcoated aluminium. Anodize temperature is at about 8 C. I called some suppliers for a hardness tester but none of them can offer for this applacation. Can anybody help?

I assume that you want to measure the hardness of the coating. One method that I have used is microindentation hardness testing, such as the Knoop or Vickers method. Tests can be made on polished cross sections if the coating is thick enough or directly on the surface of the coating. Some surface preparation will be required even if testing is done directly on the surface because there is typically a very thin layer of porous material at the surface of the coating.
Instruments for this testing are available through Instron, Newage, Buehler, Leco, and others here in the US.
