How to do non-yellowing lacquer silver plated copper wire
++++
At the moment, we are trying to develop a Silver plated copper wire that remains bright and shiny all the time and therefore started to do some tests with different lacquers. The two problems encountered so far are:
1) The lacquered wire after a few months exposed to sunlight turn into a yellow colour.
2) Some of the lacquers that meet our needs are unfortunately not applicable on wire.
Therefore, I would be glad if you could possibly look into this and let us know your thoughts. Just to give you some further information, the wire range goes from 0.25 mm. to 1.20 mm. The wire is electroplated (silver plating line) at 1.60 mm. and then drawn down to the above mentioned sizes. The production process is therefore continuous from reel to reel and the idea is to actually apply the lacquer continuously, as a final stage.
