Giving a Nickel plated shine to stainless steel fasteners

I am a hobbyist , please give me a suggestion how to make my stainless steel fasteners on my vintage bike to look like nickel plated (yellow-shine).

Shine is equivalent to specular reflection, which comes from a very smooth surface. This is achieved by polishing and then buffing, and there are a number of letters on line here that offer polishing and buffing sequences and tips.

But stainless is not the same color as nickel plating and will not look the same color if placed right next to each other.
