-----Where to Replate White Gold Ring
Okay, so I read all the postings on 18K white gold turning yellow and that is the situation I am currently in. My future fiance and I bought a wedding set (with engagement setting and wedding band) and stone separately and after we went to get the stone set in the engagement ring, I noticed that the engagement ring was yellowish compared to the wedding band. Now that I know it was the rhodium plating that was worn off, what can I do about it? I understand that I should get it re-plated and that is fine, but does anyone know of a reputable jeweler or plater in Southern California who will plate the rings properly with the appropriate thickness? Please help. I've grown attached to the ring after all the time and trouble to acquire it. I don't want to start all over and get another ring. Thank you.
