-----Copper on Quartz
I need a vendor to apply copper (.05 to 1 mil thick) to specific area of quartz cylinders. The quartz cylinders are 1/4 in diameter, 20 to 30 inches long. Application would be to the outside diameter and uniformity is not an issue. Quantity: 500/year.

Joe, Quartz is often metallized using PVD processing. Generally a very thin "glue layer" of Ti or Cr is deposited then the copper is deposited. There are a number of contract Metallizers in California. Refer to www.svc.org/Product and Services/metallizers for a list of suppliers. Don Mattox
