TO WAX OR NOT TO WAX?

++++

Can you please tell me whether, after POLISHING the chrome on my '79 Ford LTD, I should also WAX it? Some car-care "experts" say that waxing prevents the chrome from "breathing." Others say to by all means wax chrome. One related question. My LTD has hubcaps; they're just plain ol' (I would imagine) steel hubcaps -- certainly not aluminum. They have a shiny "spun" look. Should I polish them?...wax them? And could you recommend a product?

THANKS,

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
