Analytical test method for Alkalis (K2O and Na2O)

What analytical test method should I use to get accurate test results when determining the %K2O and %Na2O in my raw material? So far I have tried using Flame photometry with the EN 196 -21:1989 standard procedure, The results I got were doubtfully too high on comparison with the Standard sample results. I would appreciate any assistance from you.
