-----Getting rid of brass finish on lamps to another finish
2004
I had my brass lamps re-finished and polished. The problem I now have is they're turning black and spotting. Rather then going to the expense of doing it again I was wondering if you have any suggestions on using a product that would eliminate this procedure. Some sort of paint, or "coverup".
I would appreciate any suggestions.
I am just trying to figure out what to do with expensive lamps that are pitting.

Brass needs brass lacquer ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] to prevent tarnishing. It sounds like your lamps weren't lacquered.
