Adhesion Specification

I am interested in coming up with a specification for testing adhesion of cyanide copper barrel plating to steel tubing(PEW).

Good starting points would be the Military Specs, ASM or ASTM specs. You might be able to find a GM or Ford spec, but they are harder for most to come by.

There is a pull-test spec ASTM D4541 you may want to look at. This requires a pull-tester like that sold by Elcometer, Inc., Rochester Hills, MI.; costs about $2000 or less.

I found thatASTM B571 will do the trick
