Automotive designer needs S-N curve for
AlMg3 [Germany]
+++
Where can I find an S-N fatigue curve for AlMg3 material? It would
be great to have this S-N curve at room temperature, but it would
even be greater to receive one for elevated temperatures (e.g. 1000
or 1100 degrees).

Am I missing something? Al alloys are unsuitable for such elevated
temperatures. AlMg3 (Al 5754) begins melting at about 615 C (1139 F).
Yield strength at 371 C after holding 10000 hours is roughly 20-30
MPa (2900-4350 psi). Fatigue data for Al alloys is generally
available up to 250-350 C. E.g., 23 MPa for Al 2219 at 350 C, with
120 MHz reverse beam bending stress. See
Smithells Metals Reference Book or MIL-HDBK-5J (a
79 MB download from the ASSIST site) for data.
