POLISHED COPPER COATING

WOULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN COAT COPPER AFTER I POLISH IT SO THAT IT WON'T TARNISH AGAIN. WHAT I AM POLISHING IS 1/2 INCH COPPER WATER PIPE. I AM USING THE PIPE FOR A WINE RACK.

THANKS,

Well, you can coat it with gold :-)  All metals except precious metals tarnish. But benzotriazole [on eBay or Amazon] and a number of proprietary agents will retard tarnishing for a while, and brass lacquer may be what you are looking for.

Incralac
(brass lacquer with benzotriazole)

on eBay or

Amazon

(affil links)

You can use Incralac [on eBay or Amazon] - special lacquer for copper and its alloys (it contains benzotriazole)!
