Questions about about ADC 12 during Die Casting

+++

Hi,

I am interested in knowing the answer for following queries related with aluminum ADC 12 material:- 1) How can I know which chemical composition in ADC 12 will contribute to higher % of reject in die casting? (Examples: soldering, shrinkage, cold flow, crack, porosity and bubble/ blister?) 2) Is there a web-site that I can access to check on the above? 3) I am having problem on bubble/ blister during aluminum die casting, I have been looking into various ways to solve it but fail. Can anyone help? 4) Will electroplating contribute in bubble/ blister? If yes, how?

Thanks and regards,

hi....i m interesting to know how to calculate the cooling time/die opening time?how can I calculate this and how to find out this?how to calculate the parameters according to the die?i m facing the non filling and air bubble problem in casting.the casting is in round shape name of the casting is plate bowl support.i change the m/c parameters but this problem is not properly solved.the rejection %age is 10-15%per shift.if we use the high temp. metal there's a flashing problem and low temp. metal use non filling problem. please tell me the solution.how can it do?

Hi, folks. This is really a metal finishing website rather than a pressure casting website. Your questions are welcome, but we may not have people with experience to answer them. You may wish to post on another website rather than waiting. Good luck!
