-----Converting RMS to Rmax
2003
My name is Shane and I am a Quality Supervisor at a major diesel marine manufacturing facility.
I am looking for a formula or just an answer that would tell me the difference between RMS and Rmax surface textures.
I know what they mean, but I need to transfer from RMS to Rmax.
So please help me out as soon as possible. Thanks
Shane Mossmanufacturing - Adairsville, Georgia
RMS is a surface finish roughness standard measured with a profilometer. Rmax is the maximum roughness depth. For more info., see www.predev.com/smg/parameters.htm.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
