-----Bronze Satin Paint Finish for Wrought Iron
2003
The new "look" for wrought iron seems to be a beautiful dark bronze color. It is very popular and selling at craft fairs like mad.
I am looking for a paint will give me this look on wrought iron in a satin finish with a dark brown color.
Rustoleum has a "hammered" paint in a good color, however it is glossy and not satin.
Thank you

Try spraying over the paint with a Matte Lacquer, I like Krylon.

Help please. I need to paint numerous radiators on my hot water heat system and would prefer a metallic bronze finish. Is this safe? What would I use and where would I find such a paint? I have exhausted all other avenues of information, only to receive conflicting information and blank stares from paint stores clerks. Any and all professional advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi, Susan. I can imagine how it would not be "safe". I'd probably do aluminum paint first because it's a proven rust and stain blocker and is in use on thousands of radiators. Then I'd follow with a bronze colored metallic paint. This really shouldn't be hard to get.
