Heat resistant paint for mantle

I have a mantle that sees a lot of heat as I don't have a blower in my fireplace. I was wondering if there is a heat resistant paint that could withstand high temperatures without causing the paint to peel and crack after a years use?

Hi, Kevin. There are all kinds of high temperature paint [affil link] from engine paint to brake lining paint to stove paint ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] . The problem will not be so much finding one as finding one that you'd like your mantle done in 🙂
