-----Looking for shops that plate 1 to 4 alum. auto wheels
I own a repair shop for aluminum alloy automobile wheels. We frequently get requests to "chrome plate" or replate both auto and motorcycle wheels. I'd like to put together a list of shops that do this kind of work in quantities of 1 to 4 wheels at a time. Most of the shops I've been using are in California so shipping costs are fairly expensive, therefore my interest would be in shops in the East or Southeast. I'm affiliated with 3 other wheel repair shops who would also be interested in any leads you could provide.
Thanks,
Jeff

I recently purchased an Oldsmobile AURORA sedan, with what I am told are aftermarket custom wheels...
they are chrome with golden bolts - a sorta stylized contemporty interpretation of real wire wheels...
My problem... the chrome is pealing like a bad sunburn on a couple of wheels...
What can I do to stop the peeling?
What can I do to repair the peeling?
Please advise.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do yourself that will fix this problem. If you bought the car new, the dealer should cheerfully replace this manufacturing defect.
If you bought this car used, I'm afraid you have a sad problem unless you can determine the manufacturer of the wheels and get them to replace this defective product. Chrome is not supposed to peel. Period.
